Overview:
Over its history, Porsche have produced six* different generations of the Speedster:
*While there was not a traditional production run of the 993 Speedster, one was originally produced for Jerry Seinfeld and a second produced in 2024 for Luca Trazzi.

991 Speedster

While only the 997 and 991 generations were limited production vehicles, 356 and 1948 units respectively, limited quantities of the Speedster have been produced across all generations. With that being said, this website focuses on the 991 Speedster, the first and only to be developed by the GT department at Porsche.

While 1948 units were produced for the 991 Speedster, there are approximately 328 which were produced in a Paint-to-Sample (PTS) shade. Essentially, a PTS shade is a "special color" that was not offered on the standard color list. While there are too many to list here, and the PTS shades that were available are theoretically limitless, we know of 75 different shades that were selected across the 328 chassis.

Personally, I find the 991 Speedster to be one of the best variants offered during the 991 production run, if not one of the greatest 911s that have ever been produced. Therefore, I wanted to create this website to serve as an archive for the limited Paint-to-Sample chassis for the 991 generation, documenting them every time new photos are shared or one of the chassis is listed for sale.
